Server-side tracking for Shopify
TRACK ATLAS sends every Shopify conversion to Meta, Google Ads and Pinterest from the browser and the server, deduplicated by event id.
TRACK ATLAS is server-side conversion tracking for Shopify. A pixel in the store records what shoppers do, Shopify's order webhooks confirm every paid order, and TRACK ATLAS sends both to Meta (Conversions API and pixel), Google Ads, Pinterest (Conversions API and tag), with the same event id so nothing is counted twice.
What gets sent
| Step | Meta | Google Ads | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Page view | PageView | Optional label | page_visit |
| Product view | ViewContent | view_content | |
| Search | Search | search | |
| Add to cart | AddToCart | Optional label | add_to_cart |
| Checkout | InitiateCheckout, AddShippingInfo, AddPaymentInfo | Optional label | initiate_checkout, add_payment_info |
| Purchase | Purchase | Purchase label | checkout |
How it works
- Browser: a Shopify web pixel and a storefront script load your native Meta, Google and Pinterest tags and capture click ids and UTMs in first-party cookies.
- Server: every event is also sent from our servers to the Conversions APIs, with hashed customer data, IP address and user agent.
- Backstop: the Shopify order webhook sends each paid order even when an ad blocker or a closed tab stopped the browser.
- Deduplication: browser and server copies share one event id; purchases use the order id.
- Retries: temporary failures are retried after 5, 15 and 60 minutes.
- Consent: the shopper's Shopify consent choice travels with every event.
Setup

- Add your Meta pixel, Google Ads conversion id and labels, or Pinterest tag, or connect the ad account.
- Watch events arrive on the Events page and each sale's delivery to each platform.

Questions
Do I need Google Tag Manager or a developer?
No. You connect the store, add your pixel ids and the TRACK ATLAS app installs the pixel and the order webhooks.
Will purchases be counted twice?
No. The browser and server copies of each purchase carry the same event id, keyed on the Shopify order id, so Meta and Pinterest keep one.
Which stores are supported?
Shopify; CartCore Checkout; other stores through a server-to-server events API; WooCommerce and Funnelish coming soon.
