What is a Conversions API?
A Conversions API lets a store send conversions to an ad platform from its server instead of only from the shopper's browser.
A Conversions API (CAPI) is an ad platform endpoint that accepts conversion events, such as purchases, from a business's server. It runs next to the browser pixel, so conversions still arrive when a browser blocks or drops the pixel, and it can carry customer data the platform uses to match the event to a person.
| Platform | Name |
|---|---|
| Meta | Conversions API |
| API for Conversions (Conversions API) | |
| Google Ads | Conversion uploads with enhanced conversion data |
Platforms recommend sending the same events from browser and server with a shared event id, so they can count each conversion once.
